Interview by Chelo Garcia (Taewkondo Black belt), Journalist of TV News Krypton with Lt Coronel Homero Rodriguez on August 20, 1994
CG: Colonel now that you have recovered your freedom, what do you think about?
HR: After 36 months of paying an early penalty for a crime that was not committed, I want to reaffirm my deep faith in the rule of law, it is those who commit injustice who have to worry about the shame that this entails.
CG: In all this process of the escape of Pablo Escobar, you were practically a scapegoat?
HR: It's like a game of chess, there are pieces: the king, the queen, the towers of Castile can fall, the bishops can go to diplomatic exile, the horses are held, and the pawns are sacrificed.
CG: Don`t you feel resentment, don`t you feel hate towards someone? Don`t you feel anger?
HR: Pain of country simply but Jehovah of the Armies sees it and demands it.
CG: Colonel Homero, what's next for you, now what are you going to do?
HR: Finish clearing my name completely, because it is the only asset I can leave to my children.
